Reject Bill C-39

Hello Sisters, Brothers and Friends,

I know this is short notice but next week on October 15, the CLC is holding a Day of Action across the country against Bill C-39. Simple put, the Bill as it is currently written will give the Minister of Labour the ability to end a strike if it is in their opinion that the strike is a threat to “national interest”. No guardrails. No vote in parliament. An email could end a strike.

We cannot allow this to happen without pushback. I am asking you to join me at Minister Kevin Lamoureux’s office at 98 Mandalay Dr on October 15 from 4:30 to 5:30pm to send a message that labour movement will not stand for this, and that we want Section 107 of the Canadian Labour Code removed.
